Cardiothoracic Surgical PA- Maryland- Great pay based on experience- need ASAP
New Cardiothoracic Surgical Physician Assistant/ position within a large city hospital organization in Maryland.
Experienced Cardiac Surgery PA candidate needed right away to work at both a hospital/clinic settings from 6:30am-3pm or 7 am-3:30 pm depending on the daily case load. Benefit of this position is that the PA only goes in during call for OR cases not for clinical calls.50:50 OR/Clinic schedule.
The PA Candidate will assist the Cardiac Surgeon with coronary artery bypass, aortic surgery, and minimally invasive valve repairs. Physician Assistant duties will include patient histories, exams, Perioperative patient evaluation, pre and post op documentation, labs, reading x-rays, applying
dressings, splints, and casts. The PA will work in the OR and see patients in the office setting as well.

Requirements: No new grads please. Appropriate PA candidate must have at least 2 years of experience practicing as a Cardiothoracic Surgery or Neurosurgery PA. Call is required. On call is every 3rd night and every 3rd weekend. PA only goes in during call for OR cases not for clinical calls.
Physician Assistant Candidate must be NCCPA Certified and have a Maryland PA license.
PA candidate must have ACLS/ATLS certification, Certification for Central Venous Catheterizations and to place chest tubes, and Endo vein harvesting experience.
