Cardiothoracic Surgical PA/NP- Maryland- Great pay- On call pay- Extra Shift bonus when applicable

New Cardiothoracic Surgical Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner position within a large city hospital organization in Maryland.
Experienced Cardiac Surgery PA/NP candidate needed right away.
Hours will be 6:30am- 2:30 pm or 7:00 am - 4 pm. PA will work a 50:50 schedule in the OR/Clinic. On Call pay. Extra shift bonus when extra shifts are available. The PA won't have to take call for clinical cases. PA will only take call for OR cases. The PA/NP Candidate will assist the Cardiac Surgeon with coronary artery bypass, aortic surgery, and minimally invasive valve repairs. Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner duties will include patient histories, exams, Perioperative patient evaluation, pre and post op documentation, labs, reading x-rays, applying
dressings, splints, and casts. The PA/NP will work in the OR and see patients in the office setting as well.

Requirements: No new grads please. Appropriate PA/NP candidate must have at least 2 years of experience practicing as a Cardiothoracic Surgery or Neurosurgery PA/NP. Call is required. Physician Assistant Candidate must be NCCPA Certified and have a Maryland PA license.
PA candidate must have ACLS/ATLS certifications and Certification for Central Venous Catheterizations and to place chest tubes.
