Emory Healthcare, in partnership with St. Francis Hospital, seeks an experienced and passionate Cardiac Surgery Advanced Practice Provider to be a leader in our CT Surgery Program.
Emory CT Surgery Program at St Francis:
• The Cardiac Surgery APP position at St. Francis will be employed by Emory Healthcare and enjoy the compensation plan and full range of benefits as an Emory employee.
• St. Francis Heart Hospital, an affiliate of Emory Cardiothoracic Surgery, is the only hospital in the Chattahoochee Valley that provides a full range of cardiac surgeries, including open-heart surgery or Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG) and heart valve replacement.
• Dr. Jacob Davtyan, Assistant Professor in the Emory University School of Medicine’s Department of Surgery and Emory Clinic physician is the Medical Director of St. Francis' cardiothoracic service.
• 200-250 Annual Cases, allowing for a fantastic work/life balance.

The APPs responsibilities Include (under the supervision of a physician):
• Endoscopic Vein Harvesting
• OR first assist
• Pre-Admission Testing
• History and physical exams
• Rounding on floor patients
• Weeknight/weekend call coverage (floor calls and emergency surgical procedures)
• Inpatient consults.
Minimum Qualifications:
The Successful Physician Assistant Candidate:
• Be a graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Licensed or eligible to practice in the state of Georgia.
• NCCPA certification
• Surgical and/or Cardiac experience.
• BLS certification required.
The Successful Nurse Practitioner Candidate:
• Be a graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Licensed or eligible to practice in the state of Georgia.
• ANCC (or equivalent body certification)
• Surgical and/or Cardiac experience.
• BLS certification required.
Experience in cardiac surgery, specifically endoscopic vein harvesting and a desire to lead an APP team preferred.
